Two of my losses happened in strangely similar cycles (very early O) but then there were other red herrings thrown in, and in the end I felt like none of it made sense. Now, I truly feel like I'm no closer to understanding things.

It's interesting that your Indian RE paid closer attention to the PCOS. Fingers crossed for the Metformin.Delinquenteggsnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-57644621261583551.post-12782121267227758642011-05-31T22:16:29.538+05:302011-05-31T22:16:29.538+05:30Very interesting about your cycles - I wish I had ...Very interesting about your cycles - I wish I had answers for you, but I don't. Something I did not share, for a while I increased my vit D dosage
to 6000 iu per day (from 4000). The next 2 cycles increased In length,
ovulation shifted from day 20 to 22 and all my primary fertility signs (such as
bbt and even amount of CM changed). I did not like the changes and I dropped
my dosage back to 4000 after skipping about a week entirely.

The
next cycle, stuff went back to normal with ovulation
at day 20 as usual. Don't know what to make of all this obviously, but I
might bet that the changes are,in some way, associated with vitamin D, and it *seems* like higher my vitamin D levels, later the ovulation. I think my ideal blood level is around 35 ng/ml, that is what I will maintain at.

I'm
not on metformin yet, I won't start for atleast a few months. For many practical purposes, I'm going to hold off trying the end of this year.Jayhttp://aboutplanb.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-57644621261583551.post-89845716483784430812011-05-29T04:10:07.232+05:302011-05-29T04:10:07.232+05:30That's really interesting about your two cycle...That's really interesting about your two cycle patterns. I think I already mentioned that my cycles went from 23 back to 26/7 days when I started high dose vitamin D. Although this was confounded by the fact that I also dramatically decreased my stress levels (if you discount earthquakes!) which I think may have been a factor during my last 6 IUIs when my cycles shortened. I am very pleased I read your vitamin D research and followed your example.

Now that you are on Metformin & vitamin D, and have observed a significant change in your cycles, do you feel ready to try again?
